On 9 June 2007, thousands of people gathered in central Tel Aviv to protest 40 years of the ongoing Israeli occupation of the West Bank, Gaza Strip and Golan Heights. Participants marched from Rabin Square to the Tel Aviv Museum, many shouting anti-occupation slogans and holding signs and pictures illustrating the violence being committed against the Palestinian people.
